Rules & Policies

We hope you enjoy your stay. Our rules and courtesies are for the safety and enjoyment of all of our guests. These rules are not all-inclusive and additional instructions may be implemented by management as necessary. Anyone violating these rules may be asked to leave the campground without a refund.

  • All guests must register upon arrival. Day visitors are welcome until 10 pm. Fees are posted.
  • Check-in time is 2:00 PM, and check-out time is 12 noon.
  • Slow Down! What’s your hurry? You’re on camp time. Speed limit is 5 mph.
  • Respect your neighbors. Quiet time is 11 pm till 8 am. Keep your radios low. Kids should be back at your site.
  • No matter how cute your dog is other people don’t want to pick up their poop. So clean up after them, keep them on a leash, and don’t let them bark all day. Please do not toss your doggy bags into empty fire pits. Yuck! Proof of shots will be required if there is an incident with your pooch.
  • Park the bikes after dark. No mini bikes, golf carts, ATV’s, or motorized toys.
  • Please take your trash to the dumpster. A recycling bin is located next to the upper dumpster.
  • Pool is open from 11-8. NO LIFEGUARDS. Swim at your own risk. Adults must accompany kids under 12. Diving is not permitted nor is running, horseplay or glass bottles. Babies should be in swimming diapers. Please wear a swimsuit… not your street clothes.
  • Be kind to the trees. Don’t hurt them by driving nails or practicing your axe skills. Leave the wood cutting to us (even dead wood in the forest). Firewood is available at the store.
  • No firearms, pellet guns, sling shots, bows & arrows, trebuchets, or fireworks. No hunting… unless you’re looking for phone service.
  • Don’t move the fire rings or leave the campfire blazing and unattended.
  • Keep your beer covered in a can cooler if you’re off your site.
  • The lake is for boating and fishing ~ not swimming. Fishing licenses are not required. If you are renting a boat you need to grab the life jackets (PA state law). Motor boats are not permitted. Fish, frogs, lightning bugs, lizards, skunks, and black bears are all catch and release.
  • Cable TV requires a DCX box. Be patient. They can be frustrating. Be sure that your trailer is on cable, not antenna. If you can’t get it to work please call the office.
  • Parents are responsible for their kid’s behavior and safety. Kids under 6 should be under your care at all times. Do not leave children under 18 at the campground without a guardian.
  • The campground is not responsible for injury, theft, damage, or natural disaster.
Shore Forest Campground
Rating: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
My wife and I love Shore Forest! It is a safe, family-friendly campground. The weekend activities are engaging for adults and children. They have a wonderful pool and hot tub area during the summer and beautiful fall foliage during late season. I can't recommend them enough!
