Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the check in and check out times?
A: Check-in time is 2:00 PM, and check-out time is 12 noon. There are fees assessed for early check-ins and late check-outs. Check-outs must also be approved by the office.

Q: What if I have to cancel my reservation?
A: We certainly hope you don’t have to cancel your reservation, but if you do, we require at least a one-week notice to be given a full refund. There are no refunds for early departure or inclement weather.

Q: Can we have visitors while camping?
A: Yes you can… all visitors must register upon arrival and depart by 10:00 PM. No more than 4 visitors per site. Visitor fee is $5.00 per person.

Q: Can we request a specific campsite?
A: Site requests are welcome, but we do not guarantee any particular site. We will do our best to fulfill your request, but sometimes things happen and we may have to move your reservation.

Q: Are campfires allowed and can I bring firewood?
A: Campfires are certainly allowed. Because of the recent Pennsylvania Firewood Quarantine, bringing your own firewood is not allowed.

Q: Can we bring our pets camping with us?
A: Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and they cannot be left unattended. When they poop….you scoop. We do not require proof of shots upon check in, but if there is an incident involving your pet, you should be able to produce them. Pets are not permitted in the cabins or on the cabin sites.

Shore Forest Campground
Rating: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
This was our first time a Shore Forest and we'll definitely be returning. The weekend we went there was trick or treat weekend. All the kids had a blast as we did as well. We had great sites and the seasonal folks that we spoke with were great. We're definitely going to plan a trip back when we can enjoy everything else they have to offer. Very excited. Thank you!!!!
